WELCOME TO
Dunchurch Infant School & Nursery

Open Evenings for Reception children 2022 are on Thursday 11th, 18th, 25th November and 2nd December.  Please look at the 'Joining Our School' pages for more information.

Welcome

Dunchurch Infant School & Nursery is situated on the edge of Rugby, in Warwickshire.  Children can join our Nursery from the start of the term in which they turn three.  When they are older, children join one of our two Reception classes and stay with us until the end of Year 2.  We also offer before and after-school care and a holiday club.

We understand what an important decision the choice of school or nursery is for a parent, especially for such young children, so we aim to provide a caring environment where children enjoy their education and achieve well.  For more about our approach to education, please see ‘Our Promises’ which sets out our commitment to all of our children.

OFSTED judged the school to be 'Outstanding' in all areas during the 2015-16 academic year.  Since then the school has continued to progress and this has resulted in us being designated a National Support School.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to find out more about the school.  Our Executive Headteacher, Joss Andrews, and co-Heads of School, Tracy Miller and Suzanne Marson, are always happy to show prospective parents around.

Hello Everyone

What a mixture of weather we’ve had this week. I started Woody’s Buddie’s Club on Tuesday but it was pouring with rain and we couldn’t go for a walk.  Instead we read Woody’s Adventures in Petlandia and then I showed the children some of my tricks. We had a lovely time and I had some treats and the children had a special sticker.

At the Junior School I met William, a new pupil and it was lovely to welcome him to our school.

Please don’t be alarmed by the photo below of me and a rather large spider. It’s the time of year when the spiders like to come indoors as the weather gets colder. Due to an abundance of flying insects this year, we can look forward to some whoopers. I was fascinated by this big fellow I came across on the kitchen floor at home. I escorted him safely off the premises and can confirm he is now living at the bottom of the garden. The spiders are harmless and good for the environment, so please be kind to them.

Have a great weekend
