JOINING OUR NURSERY

Children can be admitted to our Nursery at the start of the term in which they turn three years old.  We have three Nursery classrooms with the children being split according to their school year.  In the pre-school rooms, which we call Red and Blue Rooms, the children attend for the complete academic year before they enter into Reception.  In the Rainbow Room, the children attend for up to a further year, depending on when their birthday falls.  We can accommodate up to 24 children in each of the three rooms, during any one session.

You can find out more about Dunchurch Nursery’s learning and activities by clicking the link below.

Our Nursery has been over-subscribed for the last couple of years, so we recommend registering your interest as early as possible. Please click on the link below to download the forms to register your child with us.

Once your child turns 3 years old (depending on when their birthday is), you can claim up to 30 hours per week of free childcare through Government Nursery Education Funding. You can find out more by clicking here.

Please note, all of our places are allocated strictly in accordance with our Nursery Admissions Policy.  Please click here to view this.

Dunchurch Nursery currently charges for any child not eligible for the Nursery Education Funding, and any sessions booked for children outside of those covered by the Nursery Grant. You can find information about these charges by clicking the link below.

Our Basis of Charging and Current Fee Structure ( from September 2022)

Uniform for Nursery children is optional but is the same uniform as the rest of the Infant School.  It can be purchased from Webb Ellis Ltd., 5 & 6 St. Matthews Street, Rugby, CV21 3BY.

We do encourage play & learning in our outside areas on a daily basis, so wellies are always welcome (although we do have some for the children to borrow if necessary).

Lunchtime

All Nursery children are subject to a lunchtime session fee, whether they have a hot lunch or a packed lunch (please see the link above for our fee structure).

If your child would rather have a packed lunch, we would ask you to provide only 3 healthy items. This supports our teaching of a healthy lifestyle and ensures the children still have plenty of time to eat their lunch and go out to play.

We provide water throughout the day, so there is no need to send in any additional drinks.  If your child is having a packed lunch, please provide a named beaker for your child in their lunch box.

We ask you give us a full half term’s notice if you wish to change your child’s meal pattern.

Fruit

We are fortunate to be part of the Government's fruit scheme initiative. This enables all of our children to have a free piece of fruit every day at school, served as a mid morning/mid afternoon snack.

Milk

Nursery children are all provided with milk, there is no need for Nursery parents to order it or provide it. If your child has an allergy to dairy, please discuss this with us.

We encourage people who are interested in registering for our Nursery, or those who have been offered a place and are due to start, to visit and see us in action. Our Nursery Manager, Mrs Lauren Madeley, can be contacted on 01788 810292, should you wish to arrange a visit, or have any further questions that you would like answering.
