Dunchurch Infant School & Nursery is situated on the edge of Rugby, in Warwickshire. Children can join our Nursery from the start of the term in which they turn three. When they are older, children join one of our two Reception classes and stay with us until the end of Year 2. We also offer before and after-school care and a holiday club.
We understand what an important decision the choice of school or nursery is for a parent, especially for such young children, so we aim to provide a caring environment where children enjoy their education and achieve well. For more about our approach to education, please see ‘Our Promises’ which sets out our commitment to all of our children.
OFSTED judged the school to be 'Outstanding' in all areas during the 2015-16 academic year. Since then the school has continued to progress and this has resulted in us being designated a National Support School.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to find out more about the school. Our Headteacher, Ian Dewes, is always happy to show prospective parents around.
WOODY - OUR SCHOOL DOG
Friday 19 January 2018
I have been busy this week listening to some readers with Mrs Marlow and Mrs Aird. Both lovely ladies were very patient with me as I am still training, and sometimes I have difficulty concentrating! I am pleased to say all the children read beautifully.
Last night was very exciting at Rugby Dog Training Club as I was presented with a trophy for raising the most money at the recent ‘down stay’ charity event. Well done to all who donated, raising a whopping £120 for ‘Taking the Reins’ and ‘Medical Detection Dogs’. I now have a special crystal trophy that I need to take good care of.
Have a good weekend.
